Our commitment to transparency

Every gift to Asking for the Nations is a trust, and we want you to see exactly how it is used. Asking for the Nations Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 26-0556074), founded in 2007 and based in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Our work is in Tanzania: education, free medical care, vocational training, feeding children, and sharing the love of Christ.

Each year we file a Form 990 with the IRS, prepared by our independent CPA firm, CRI Advisors. You can read our full return below.

Where your gifts go

Our three largest programs in 2024, as reported on the 990:

$293,679
Volunteer mission teams. We hosted 90 volunteers who ran medical clinics and eye care, taught first aid, hygiene and nutrition, hosted leadership conferences, and supported feeding and outreach with local churches and schools.
$228,154
School, vocational and church construction. We ran a pre-primary and primary school serving over 200 students every day, expanded the vocational sewing program, and moved forward on building Hope International Hospital.
$17,035
Missionary support. We supported pastors in Africa who provide food, shelter, medical care, education and the preaching of the Gospel in poor communities.

How we stay accountable

  • Everyone is a volunteer. We have no paid staff. Our board and leaders receive no salary or compensation.
  • A volunteer board. Our three board members oversee our finances, and each reviews the Form 990 before it is filed.
  • Professional tax preparation. Our annual return is prepared by CRI Advisors, an independent CPA firm.
  • Written policies. We keep a written whistleblower policy and a written document retention policy.
  • We know where the money goes. Our leaders travel to Tanzania, oversee the projects in person, and track spending on the ground.
  • Donor privacy. We never sell or share donor information. Donor names are not shown in our public 990.
