New Beginning Pre & Primary English Medium School

The Story of New Beginning

When Asking for the Nations first began, our original vision was to build an orphanage. For years, we pursued that dream—but kept running into roadblocks. What we thought were setbacks turned out to be divine redirection. As we began building our vocational school, the entire community started requesting a primary school. Police officers, neighbors, government leaders, and even taxi drivers began asking for a high-quality English medium school for their children.

In 2018, just as we received approval to begin, we learned that Tanzania had officially stopped allowing the establishment of new orphanages and was moving away from that model as a nation. What seemed like a block to our efforts was actually God’s protection from something that was no longer possible.

In response to the growing community need, Asking for the Nations founded New Beginning Pre & Primary English Medium School in 2023. At New Beginning, our unwavering commitment is to empower the next generation of leaders in Tanzania through education. We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone upon which a brighter future is built, and our mission reflects this belief.

What began as a pivot has become a powerful mission—a new beginning not just in name, but in purpose, vision, and lasting impact.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear and resolute: to provide high-quality education in a safe, respectful, and innovative environment that lays a solid foundation for the future. We believe education goes beyond classrooms and textbooks—it's about nurturing both minds and hearts, preparing students to become the leaders who will shape the future of Tanzania.

Educating for Empowerment

Serving students from preschool through 7th grade, our school is more than just an institution—it’s a haven of knowledge, creativity, and inspiration. We are committed to cultivating an environment where critical thinking, creativity, and mutual respect are part of every student’s daily experience.

Inclusivity and Non-Discrimination

At the heart of our values is inclusivity.

  • We believe every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their economic background.

  • We reserve spots for students facing financial hardship.

  • We proudly welcome students from the Maasai tribe, standing firmly against cultural discrimination.
Our commitment to a non-discriminatory and welcoming environment is unwavering.

Our Current Needs

We are growing—and with that growth comes the need for support. Here are our current priorities to better serve our students:

🏫 1. Auditorium – $75,000

A space to host school assemblies, indoor sports, and special events. This facility will help us foster a stronger sense of community, culture, and connection among our students.

📚 2. Campus Expansion – $40,000

To welcome more students, we need to purchase additional land adjoining our current property. This will allow for new classrooms and enhanced learning spaces, offering more children the opportunity to receive a quality education.

🚌 3. Transportation – $35,000

We are in need of a fifth school bus to reach more children who live far from campus. This will remove transportation barriers and increase accessibility for students in surrounding communities.
