Looking Back on 2025 (So Far): A Year of Building, Preaching, Empowering, and Feeding
What a year it has been—and it's only August! As we pause to reflect on all that God has done through Asking for the Nations in 2025, our hearts are full of gratitude. This year has been marked by growth, breakthrough, and an even deeper commitment to our mission of making a lasting impact through education, medical care, vocational training, and the gospel.
Two Volunteer Teams, One Unified Mission
We’ve had the joy of hosting two incredible volunteer teams in 2025, each bringing their own gifts and passion to serve. Together, they ministered in powerful ways—through medical outreach, school support, evangelism, and children’s ministry. These teams helped teach, build, preach, and love with open hands and hearts.
They didn’t just visit—they became part of the story God is writing here in Tanzania.
Hope International Hospital: Construction Progress
One of the biggest highlights of the year has been the visible progress on Hope International Hospital. What was once just a vision and a patch of land is now becoming a beacon of healing and hope.
The walls are going up, the foundation is firm, and the dream of accessible, compassionate healthcare is inching closer to reality. This hospital is not just a building—it’s a promise to the people of this region that they matter, and that help is coming.
The Gospel Continues to Go Forth
This year, the gospel has continued to be preached boldly—in classrooms, churches, villages, conferences, and even under trees. We’ve seen students give their lives to Christ, women renewed with purpose, and men standing up to lead their families in faith.
The message hasn’t changed—and it never will: Jesus is the hope of the world.
Student Camp at New Beginning
We launched our very first student camp at New Beginning Pre and Primary School, and it was nothing short of amazing! Students worshiped, learned, played, and grew deeper in their understanding of who they are and how much they are loved by God.
The camp sparked creativity, strengthened friendships, and gave students a foundation of faith that will last for years to come.
A New Class at Kia Institute of Technology
Our fourth sewing class at the Kia Institute of Technology officially began this year! With each new cohort, more lives are being transformed through vocational training and daily discipleship.
Students are gaining practical skills, business knowledge, and spiritual empowerment. It’s not just about making clothes—it’s about making a future.
Feeding the Hungry: Lions for Lambs
This year also birthed something beautiful and unexpected: the Lions for Lambs feeding initiative. Inspired by one of our passionate volunteers, this program began with a simple desire to meet people’s physical needs while pointing them to the Bread of Life.
Since launching, Lions for Lambs has provided essential food boxes to families in need—offering dignity, love, and hope one meal at a time.
A Year Marked by God’s Faithfulness
As we reflect on 2025 so far, we are reminded that every brick, every smile, every song, and every prayer is part of a bigger picture. God is building something eternal here. Through every volunteer, donor, prayer partner, and team member—you are part of that story.
There’s still more to come this year, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Thank you for standing with us, believing with us, and building with us.
Let’s keep going. The best is yet to come.
