A Season of Growth: Building, Serving, & Strengthening Tanzania

The past several months have been an incredible season of growth, ministry, and impact for Asking for the Nations in Tanzania. We are continually amazed by the doors God is opening and grateful for every person who prays, gives, goes, and serves alongside us.

🏥 Hope International Hospital
We have acquired three pieces of land for the continued development and expansion of Hope International Hospital. Every step forward brings us closer to providing quality, accessible healthcare to the communities around us.

🎓 New Beginning continues to grow!
We have welcomed more students and teachers, made improvements to our school playground, and are putting the finishing touches on our secondary school as we prepare for this exciting next chapter.

Our students have also had some incredible opportunities outside the classroom. We took a group of students to participate in the 5K at the Kilimanjaro Marathon, where they challenged themselves, built confidence, and experienced the joy of accomplishing something new.

We also hosted New Beginning Market Day, giving students hands-on opportunities to explore different careers, perform jobs, run businesses, manage money, and learn practical skills for their futures.

🧵 Empowering through vocational training
During our March mission team, we celebrated another sewing class graduation at the Kia Institute of Technology. Since beginning this program, nearly 100 students have graduated, with many going on to start small businesses and use their skills to provide for themselves and their families. We especially love seeing opportunities created for youth and individuals who may otherwise have very few options.

🤝 Two volunteer teams serving together
Since March, we have welcomed two volunteer teams who have used their unique gifts in so many ways. Our teams preached and served in local churches, ministered to children, encouraged pastors and believers, and helped strengthen the work already happening in Tanzania.

We traveled to Mwanga to host a seminar encouraging a local church serving in a challenging community. We also hosted child sexual abuse prevention and awareness seminars in churches, equipping leaders and families with practical tools to better recognize risks and protect children.

🩺 More than 500 people received free medical care
In June, our team partnered with Siha District Hospital for a two-day free medical clinic. More than 500 people were served, receiving care related to diabetes, hypertension, eye health, and other medical needs.

✝️ And most importantly, the Gospel was preached.
We hosted a five-day open-air crusade, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ night after night. People came from their homes because they heard the Gospel being preached. We saw people respond to Jesus, receive prayer, find encouragement, and make decisions to follow Christ.

❤️ And month after month, our Lions for Lambs program continues providing food to families in need.

When we look back over just these few months, we are overwhelmed with gratitude.

Land has been acquired. Buildings are going up. Students are learning. Teachers are being added. People are gaining skills and starting businesses. Families are being fed. Patients are receiving healthcare. Children are being protected. Churches are being strengthened. And people are hearing about Jesus.

This is why we do what we do.

There is still so much ahead, and we can't wait to see what God does next. ❤️
